When the Storm Birds Fly is the story that I never expected. Originally, it was inspired simply by a antique radio that I saw on Pawn Stars. Inspiration can come from anywhere, I guess, but I wasn’t expecting it when it came.
I started to write Storm Birds when I was in an off-month with Gunmetal Gray. In contrast to GG, Storm Birds is a historical romance, with bits of fantasy thrown in. It was fun to write for a while, but lacked the draw of GG that kept me coming back to it after fits of infidelity.
Right now, I’m not working on Storm Birds. I still haven’t decided if I will participate in NaNoWriMo this year, because in November I’ll be busy still working on GG for school and for myself, in addition to being fully entrenched in the wonder that is the college process.
If I do decide to do NaNo, then Storm Birds will be what I write. It’s only fair to let another story shine after GG has dominated for so long.
